The role
Here at boohoo we don’t do things by halves. We’re passionate, ambitious, and work hard to achieve our goals and to achieve them fast! We started our journey just 15 years ago as a single online brand based in Manchester, and we now dress millions of customers globally through our ever growing brand portfolio.
Our boohoo family has grown rapidly, and we now have a second home in the heart of Soho, London, housing Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse, Nasty Girl, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton. We have just over 400 wonderful team members in our London Head Office and are looking for a People Assistant to join our London team on this journey!
As People Assistant you will work closely with the team and brands to offer high level administration support and managing our email inbox. You must have excellent communication and attention to detail whilst working at pace.
This role will be based at our Soho office, with 4 days working from the office and 1 day working from home.
What you’ll be doing
You will play a key role in ensuring all our London team have a first- class employee experience from the moment they say yes to becoming part of the family. No two days at boohoo are ever the same therefore we’ve listed some of your key responsibilities below:
- Managing our London HR inbox . You will be the first point of contact for all our London family’s queries. Think holiday queries, questions about pay, benefits data and contractual information
- Managing an email inbox
- Actioning all people changes on our HR system (CORE HR) – including setting up new starters, actioning promotion and pay changes and ensuring leavers details are inputted correctly
- Using Canva templates to create change letters for any updates to employees terms and conditions
- Managing monthly payroll spreadsheets and working closely with our Reward and Payroll teams to make sure employees pay and benefits are processed correctly each month
- Managing and tracking employee probations
- Conducting in person Right to Work checks for all new employees
- Updating team and company structure charts
- Supporting our HR Advisor in hosting our weekly induction programme
- Working with the reward team to widen our offering of local discounts for our office
- Helping out our lovely HR team with any ad hoc projects which may come our way (there’s always lots going on here!)
