Paralegal – Family Team

A great opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our Family team based at our offices in Maidstone, Kent, full time, Monday – Friday, to assist with RSPCA work and to provide general support to the wider family team.

• Liaising with clients, the Court Service and relevant third party intermediaries in person, by telephone and e-mail
• Produce standard and own drafted documents (letters/emails/forms) accurately and on time as directed by the fee earners and as required to progress ongoing matters
• To meet and contribute to meeting departmental financial and performance targets (including own individual financial performance)
• To accurately record time and ensure time recording targets are achieved
• Attending team, firm and training meetings as required
• Assisting and supporting all members of the team
• Undertaking any other reasonable tasks, duties or requests as and when required by the team or the wider partnership

• Experienced as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary is desirable but not essential
• Customer service skills/experience
• Excellent IT skills
• Ability to use a CMS or willingness to learn
• Strong numeracy and the ability to understand financial ledgers
• An appreciation of the need for discretion and confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
