Position Overview & Specifications
Are you interested in creativity and working with a team to help inspire children?
We are a team of designers, artists, actors and coders that are on a mission to inspire children with innovative ways of exploring their creativity.
We run 3 types of clubs.
Building Blocks - A lego based club where students get to explore projects and games such as bridge building, tree house making and zip line challenges!
Programmable Robotics - A club where students can learn to build and code small interactive robots. They are able to do this even if they have absolutely no prior experience of robotics or coding.
Virtual Reality Design - Our newest club, where children learn to build 3D worlds and then bring what's on the screen into the the real world. (Think solar systems and planets flying through the classroom!)
We are currently looking for three more passionate individuals to join our team.
Key Info
- Sessions pay £35ph in term 1, then £40ph in term 2 and £45ph after 3 terms.
- Full training is provided
- All teaching materials and lesson plans are provided
- There are additional paid opportunities to design your own lessons and challenges
- We have a community of teachers to share teaching tips and ideas with
- Sessions are generally 1 hour and run on a weekly basis during term time from either 12:30 - 1:30 or 3:30 - 4:30pm. At some schools we run 2 sessions in succession
- Sessions happen at different schools across London - To minimise travel, each club leader teaches at the schools closest to them.
Job Requirements
- Must be confident working with children
- Must be able to commit to teaching at least 1 weekly hour-long session
- No teaching qualification is required and we can apply for a DBS if you don't have one.
