Position Overview & Specifications
You will support the work of the Radiology Department to assist Radiologists and Radiographers in performing a range of Radiological procedures, including Ultrasound and CT.
We have a new state of the art Emergency Department which opened in April 2019 with dedicated DR X Ray rooms, Ultrasound and a CT scanner. The successful applicant will be expected to rotate into this area from the main X-Ray department, US, MRI and CT
- To assist in all aspects of patient care with in the Radiology department.
- To assist with housekeeping duties i.e. cleaning specialist equipment.
- To make up slides of biopsy samples for microscopic examination by Histology / Pathology.
- To work cross-site between Wexham Park hospital in Slough, Heatherwood Hospital Ascot , King Edwards VII in Windsor and St Marks in Maidenhead as and when required.

We have three main hospitals - Frimley Park in Frimley near Camberley, Heatherwood in Ascot and Wexham Park near Slough.

We are also proud to host the Defence Medical Group South East at Frimley Park with military surgical, medical, and nursing personnel working alongside the hospital's NHS staff providing care to patients in all specialties.
- To maintain privacy and dignity of all patients in the department.
- To ensure patient care needs are recognised and addressed while in Radiology department e.g.: reassurance, toilet requirements
- To assists patients with undressing and preparation for Radiological examinations.
- To act as a chaperone for patients as required.
- To clean radiological equipment as per departmental procedures.
- To assist patients and staff with the specific tests and examinations carried out in the Radiology department.
