Position Overview & Specifications
Part-time role, 20 hours per week (flexible)
Grovelands Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Medical Records Summariser (MRS) & Coder to join their friendly team.
The MRS/Coder is responsible for summarising all records received at the surgery whether on paper or electronically via GP2GP transfer, according to the practice protocol.
Additionally, the Medical Summariser may assist the tidying up of computer-held records in preparation for patientsβ open access to records or provision of data to other healthcare providers.
The role will also include checking coding on patient medical records fulfils contractual obligations. For example, Primary Care Network and Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and other summarising tasks as required.
Experience in medical terminology, clinical coding and summarising is desirable.
All work must be carried out with strict adherence to patient confidentiality protocols.
