Job Description and Role Responsibilities:
We are looking for a committed and proactive Technician to join our Sample Management Team.
Job purpose:
In this role you will provide and develop, as part of a wider team, a high quality sample management service for the analytical chemistry service customers of LGC Sport and Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS)
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accord with regulatory standards, e.g. ISO 17025
- Act in compliance with the site Health & Safety Policy
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well equipped work area. Observing any operational regulations
- Working as part of an operational team to provide samples to the laboratory in a timely manner
- Receive samples and perform integrity checks, completing all documentation
- Dispensing, storage under relevant conditions and disposal of samples
- Log samples to LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) or to ‘out of hours’ book when required.

Education, experience and technical skills:

- Experience in a regulated laboratory environment is advantageous.
