The role

There is a new, exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger/Credit Controller required to cover maternity leave until February 2024.

This role requires a highly self-motivated individual with an attention to detail who will work alongside the rest of the Finance team to ensure the day to day running of the finance function.

Location

Mostly remote with a requirement to come into the Leamington office on an ad hoc basis.

What you’ll be doing in your role:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Consistent and timely chasing of customer debts
• Checking accuracy of sales input into CRM
• Accurate and timely transfer of data from CRM to Sage
• Accurate and timely raising of sales invoices and purchase orders
• Working with other departments to resolve customer queries
• Support Head of Finance
• Support other business functions

Key Skills:

• Attention to detail

• Previous credit control experience preferred but not essential

• Intellectual and logical approach to working

• Financial ability and skills

• Good communication skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders internally and customer facing senior and C level executives

• Display a high level of negotiation skills to resolve issues in challenging situations where required.

• A proactive attitude and ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and skill levels in an appropriate manner

• Demonstrable problem-solving ability, working with a broad range of complex and professional issues under a variety of contexts through to resolution

• Ability to manage multiple software systems (knowledge of CRM and/or Sage preferred but not essential)
