The Role and the Team

Proofpoint is looking for an experienced international payroll team member to add to the Proofpoint Worldwide Payroll team.

The International Payroll Specialist will report to International Payroll Manager and will support all duties associated with the accurate and timely processing of Proofpoint’s international payrolls as well as assist in all payroll related financial close tasks. This role will work closely with Human Resources on international payroll-related matters and will interact closely with the international accounting team to complete all close related tasks. This individual will be driven, highly motived, pro-active, detail oriented and self-directed. This position offers the ability to learn, lead, guide, develop and grow their career working for a dynamic $1B+ public company.

Job Requirements

International Payroll Specialist

• 
  Will be one of the Leads to implement the International global payroll platform solution
• 
  Work closely with the international payroll vendor to process payroll for Proofpoint employees in EMEA and APAC regions
• 
  Responsible for reviewing new hire entries, master file changes from Workday, and reconciling payroll files from the international vendor as well as auditing the payroll system data to the corporate system of record, Workday.
• 
  Audit time sheets and monthly payrolls to ensure accurate and timely pay
• 
  Assist international employees with pay related issues
• 
  Responsible for processing off cycle manual payroll payments
• 
  Assist with monthly fluxes and provided detailed support with/to the international accounting team
• 
  Assist with research projects and preparation of management reports as needed
• 
  Ensure operational and SOX controls are properly performed within the payroll process
• 
  Audit payroll tax payments made by payroll vendor to ensure deposits are received timely

What you bring to the team

• 
  Experience of international payroll processing experience
• 
  Processing payroll in EMEA or APAC regions experience
• 
  Possess a working knowledge of international payroll-related requirements and regulations
• 
  Maintain confidentiality in all assignments and in all information obtained
• 
  Ability to organize and prioritise work to meet deadlines
• 
  High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• 
  Good working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically excel
• 
  Knowledge of international payroll vendor(s) software/processes
• 
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization both internally and externally
