Exciting opportunities have arisen for full and part-time positions within our Acute Medicine and Geriatric Care Directorate.

The directorate comprises of:

  • Frailty (both sites)
  • Acute Geriatric Medicine (both sites)
  • Acute Assessment Units (both sites)
  • Stroke Services (Maidstone

Our Acute Assessment Units provide a seven-day consultant-led service for short stay patients prior to their transfer to a speciality ward or discharge home. The units also include Ambulatory Emergency Care services which accepts patients directly from the Emergency Department (ED), South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and GPs. It provides 'Same Day Emergency Care' (SDEC) and rapid access to diagnostics, which helps with the reduction of hospital admissions whilst providing an excellent patient experience.
