Upholsterer

Main purposes of job

As a Skilled Upholsterer, you will be responsible for achieving daily production targets and will report to the upholstery line manager

Monday - Friday: 7am-4pm

38.5+ hours per week.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

Product and process development

• Working with the design team on developing new product ranges.
• Working with management to plan, develop and introduce new skills and upholstery techniques.

Production Duties

• Upholstering quality finished products such as bedsteads, headboards and other types of bedroom furniture
• Preparing work to be assembled using bills of a materials parts lists and drawings
• Gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Assembling components by fastening parts and subassemblies using compressed air, battery, and manual tools
• Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Receiving deliveries and verify delivery notes and book goods into stock
• Documenting actions by completing production and quality forms
• Ensuring quality level of assembled products meets company standards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Experience:

• Upholstery: 1 year (preferred)
• working to daily targets: 1 year (preferred)
